TheAIS
What is TheAIS ? TheAIS = iAIS + AISdispatcher
1. Dispatch recieved AIS-data (AIVDM) from other vessels to
webpages as
marinetraffic.com, aishub.net,
2. Generate AISdata for your own vessel (AIVDO) from gps data in add
these to the dispatching data.

- Will work in both Windows and Linux Ubuntu
- Java platform, if it won't start, upgrade your java version.

Instructions / screenshots :
1. Input

This pane
handle input for the ais-reciever and the gps. Select baud-rate and
enable.
NMEA2000 is also supported with a Actisense
NGT-1 NMEA2USB gateway.
2. Servers

This is the webservers which recieves the AIVDM/AIVDO from TheAIS.
These 2 hosts will be added when the program
is started for the first time. The first is for marinetraffic.com and the second is
for aishub.net. It is recommended to
register at the sites and you'll be given a uniqe port for your data.
The ports 5321 and 2222 are the default ports for these sites.
3. Dispatcher

AIS-data recieved from other vessels which are sent to the
webservers will list here. Set your location with the Set Home button
to get the right distance, the position will be saved in the generated
ini-file. This location will be automatic updated when a
connected gps has fix.
When vessels are out of range, it can automatically be removed from
the table after at certain time. Select max-time en the valid-box.
Vessel closer than a given range can trigger a warning box, set the
range as desired
4. !AIVDO

Only use this at sea !!! If you are a basestation relaying
ais-data,
this pane will never be used !!!
Fill inn the static data for your vessel. The dynamic data will be
updated
when the gps has fix.
When all data are ok, the reporting of your own position (!AIVDO) will
begin.
If you dont have a MMSI / CallSign, register your vessel at marinetraffic.com.
5. Online

At sea the internet availibility may vary, this pane is for
alerting if internetconnection is lost / reovered
6. Radar

The radar displays all vessels recieved the last 3 minutes,
the radar-range is auto/dynamic, set to always display
all vessels in range.
The center of the radar can be set in the dispatcherpane, use the "Set
home"
button.
A connected GPS will automatic update the radar center and course to
your location.
When a gps is connected and has fix, the beam will rotate, no beam = no
valid gps data.
Double-click on the radar to get fullscreen.
